The President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik today threatened Serbs who remain working in the joint institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) that they will be declared “permanent traitors.”

“We will hang their names on plaques wherever we can, in the media and everywhere. We will not tolerate betrayal,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

“There are a certain number of positions for Serbs there, and they got those jobs, not because they are Einsteins and experts, but because they are Serbs. Those mandates belong to the Serbian people and RS, not to them,” he said.

He added that if the National Assembly of RS decides that they should return the mandates, then they must return them.

“RS has no room to forgive, and we will not forgive those who remain,” Dodik said.

The Sarajevo portal Istraga announced today that the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) has temporarily suspended activities in the RS area. They stated that there is no official act in SIPA ordering this, but the director of that police agency, Darko Ćulum, who is from RS, ordered his subordinates to temporarily suspend all activities in the area of that entity.

Allegedly, it was ordered that SIPA can only act “intelligence” in the RS area, but cannot carry out any more specific actions until the middle of next week, when a final decision on further activities will be made.

According to Istraga, after the National Assembly of RS on Thursday banned the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and the BiH Court, as well as SIPA, from operating in the territory of RS, Ćulum was called to Banja Luka for a meeting with the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) leadership.

The SIPA director, as stated, refused to issue a written order banning SIPA members from working in the RS area, and to reduce pressure, he informed the heads of all SIPA departments to stop most activities in RS by Wednesday and to stop operational cooperation with the RS MUP.

According to the Istraga portal, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska today refused to implement two orders of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and did not provide SIPA with an excerpt from the criminal-operational records for two people from Banja Luka arrested for threatening BiH Court judge Sena Uzunović, who was leading the court case against Dodik.

At today’s press conference, Dodik verbally attacked Federation of BiH Television (FTV) journalist Đorđe Vujatović, who asked him a question.

“What are you doing there? With so many media outlets, you grabbed onto that one. Look, we are democrats, we give a chance and respect, and a RTRS journalist there (in the Federation of BiH) cannot ask a question, it hasn’t been recorded for 15 years. Look, I respect you,” Dodik said.

He said that Vujatović “should try to get out of it” and asked him how much his salary was.

“I know you got instructions from the editorial office to ask me, but be careful,” Dodik said.
