Milorad Dodik announced that the citizens of Banja Luka lit candles on Monday evening to pay tribute to the murdered American conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“The Republic of Srpska sends a quiet, strong message: compassion and humanity know no boundaries,” Dodik posted on the social network X along with a photograph of citizens lighting candles in front of the Palace of the Republic, where a picture of Charlie Kirk was placed between the Serbian and American flags.

“In this difficult time, we share the pain of Charlie’s family, all the people with whom we share values, and we say – hatred can never defeat the unity of good people,” Dodik wrote and added that Charlie Kirk was “a sincere friend of the Serbian people and an advocate for the common values of freedom and faith that connect us.”
