Dijana Hrka announced that she will end her hunger strike today, but that she will remain in front of the Serbian Parliament.
„When I said that I was distancing myself from students and citizens, they misunderstood me. I distanced myself so that no one would go on strike with me. I will invite students and citizens to talk so we can agree, I received the blessing of two priests to stop the strike, from medical workers, a call from children to end the hunger strike. And I will end the strike today,” Hrka said.
As she said, she will not betray her people and says that “she can do much more when she is alive”.
„This fight must continue, I would ask the police not to raise shields against their citizens, not to protect the criminals who are behind me and who are receiving daily allowances. The President lied when he said that people were persuading me to do this. I ask him what he has done for the canopy in a year,” Hrka said.
Hrka asked “will we open all the chapters they covered up”?
„If we don’t open our eyes now, 150,000 people will lose their jobs because of NIS. What will those people do tomorrow, they want to come in front of the Assembly to take daily allowances. How long will they have that money, that is our money. Why don’t I like the opposition. When Đilas was in power, my sister’s husband died, they threw a bloody backpack at her feet and said you have children. I think I have said enough. Let them come so I can give them evidence. I don’t like anyone, neither the opposition nor the position. Do not consider any insignia around me to be mine. No insignia except that of veterans is valid as mine. I have no insignia, I am Dijana Hrka who is looking for the truth,” she said while addressing the public in front of the Serbian Parliament.
We remind you, Hrka announced the hunger strike during the commemoration of the anniversary of the collapse of the canopy in Novi Sad.
