A major student protest titled “Let’s Meet on Sretenje” has started in Kragujevac. The central point of the protest is on Lepenica Boulevard, with a full-day blockade scheduled to last until 00:07h.
Numerous banners are displayed, such as “No Evolution Without Revolution” and “Those Who Lack the Courage to Fight Have No Right to Complain.” Protesters are making loud noise with whistles and horns.
Food and first aid stands are set up in a nearby park. Citizens are joining students in the blockade.
Tractors are also participating in the blockade. Traffic police are securing the gathering site, reports Beta.
This morning, kilometers-long queues were recorded at the toll gate entering Kragujevac.
Welcome banners and Serbian flags supporting student demands are displayed on all roads leading to Kragujevac and on family homes.
A billboard at the Kraljevo-Čačak entrance reads “Welcome Youth, Your Moment is Now.” Road signs directing to Lepenica Boulevard have “Welcome” messages.
Some schools display banners saying “Rain Circles Kragujevac, but Not the Students,” “Everyone to the Blockades,” and “We Are Blocking Too,” reports FoNet.
The event will feature an exhibition of blockade materials, sports activities, visitor voice messages, and donation collections for children with cancer and abandoned animals.
A medical corner for blood pressure and sugar level checks will be open from 10:00 to 13:00, and a memorial for victims of the Novi Sad railway station canopy collapse will be held from 11:52 to 12:07.

A children’s corner with Pedagogical Faculty workshops, the “Threads of Freedom” installation, and a chess tournament from 13:00 to 17:00 are planned, along with two mix zones starting at 14:00.
T-shirt making will take place from 15:00 to 20:00, and a mixed choir will perform at 18:00.
At 19:50, a student letter will be read, followed by the main stage program at 20:30 featuring monologues, student songs, and performances by actors from the Knjaževsko-Serbian ensemble.
A 15-minute tribute will be paid by attendees starting at 23:52.
