The MP of the Vetëvendosje movement, Dimalj Baša, is the new president of the Kosovo assembly, KoSSev reports.
He was elected today with 73 votes “for.” Thirty MPs were against, KoSSev writes.
PDK also voted for him today, which had practically announced in advance today that it would vote for this Vetëvendosje candidate, although it does not consider him competent.
Baša is the fourth proposed candidate of Vetëvendosje for the president of the assembly, after Aljbuljena Hadžiu, Donika Gervalla, and Hekuran Murati did not receive support.
The president of the Kosovo assembly was elected today, at the total 57th constitutive session, more than six months after the general elections and a months-long institutional crisis.
With the election of the vice-presidents as well, the new convocation of the assembly will be constituted, seven months after the elections on February 9.
