This season, the Red Star football players will participate in the Europa League, and in the draw in Monaco, they found out the names of all the rivals they will face in the league phase. Lille, Celtic, Romanian FCSB, and Celta will come to Belgrade, while the Serbian champion will be hosted twice by the Portuguese teams, Porto and Braga, as well as Sturm in Graz and Swedish Malmö.
The defeat against Paphos has been archived, and although it still hurts, all energy and concentration must be directed toward the Europa League, which for Zvezda has almost started this Friday, as soon as the names of the opponents were drawn.
Red Star got their first opponent in the Europa League draw, from the strongest pot. Vladan Milojević’s players will be guests of Porto.
The Serbian champion then immediately got their second rival from the first pot in the Europa League draw. The Red-and-Whites will host Lille.
Red Star will also host Celtic, FCSB, and Celta.
As for the away games, the Red-and-Whites will go to Braga, Sturm, and Malmö.
The first round will be played on September 24 and 25, the second on October 2, the third on October 23, and the fourth on November 6. The fifth round is scheduled for November 27, while in December, only the sixth round is played (on the 11th of the month). The January program offers the last two rounds of the competition – on the 22nd and 29th, we will find out who goes to the next phase of the competition.
