Great news is coming from America! Our national team player Anđela Dugalić has received an official invitation to the 2026 WNBA draft, which means she is only one step away from entering the strongest league in the world.
After conquering the American university league and taking the championship ring, Anđela is moving where only the best go. All eyes will be on New York on April 13, when at the famous ‘The Shed’ center, before a million-strong ESPN audience, it will be revealed in whose jersey the Serbian lioness starts her conquest of the strongest league in the world.
As a reminder, Anđela recently achieved her second big dream and became the champion of the United States of America! With her university, UCLA, she convincingly defeated South Carolina in the final game in Phoenix with a score of 79:51, thereby winning the most prestigious basketball trophy in the USA – the NCAA title.
Anđela, who is originally from Chicago but whose heart beats for Serbia, was one of the most important players in the final. She recorded 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, confirming her class at the most important moment of the season.
This is just a continuation of an incredible streak for our basketball player. We remind you that in 2021, Anđela became the champion of Europe with the Serbian national team, and now she has added an American ring to her European gold.
The invitation to the draft is the crown of her work, and given that she was officially invited to the ceremony itself, it is clear that she is seen among the top picks and that a major role awaits her in the Women’s NBA.
