It is not ruled out that Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump will reach a “big agreement” during a personal meeting, which will be the result of extensive work, but that time has not yet come, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russia 1 TV.
“Perhaps it will be necessary to formalize some important agreements that will eventually be reached after a great deal of work is done. But that time has not yet come. That work still needs to be done,” Peskov noted.
According to him, resolving the Ukrainian issue is a long and difficult process.
“This is a long process, it requires effort. It’s not easy. And most likely, Washington is increasingly beginning to realize that,” the Kremlin spokesman noted.
Russia is ready to move towards a faster resolution of the problem, but the main thing for Moscow is to achieve its goals.
“Our goals are clear, obvious, they do not change,” he added.
