The best basketball player in the world, Nikola Jokić (30), has been named Player of the Month for October and November in the Western NBA Conference. With him at the helm, the Nuggets entered the season strongly and, despite some unforeseen defeats, still achieved a respectable record of 14-5.

The Denver Nuggets added in the statement about this recognition that Jokić shot an incredible 63.7 percent from the field, hit 45.3 percent of his three-point shots, and maintained such percentages in all 19 games over the previous two months. This season he achieved 10 triple-double performances, and the NBA league named him Western Conference Player of the Week twice consecutively in November.

“The man from Sombor is six triple-double performances away from tying Oscar Robertson’s record, who is the second best in history with 181 triple-doubles,” the Nuggets emphasized.

Cade Cunningham is the best in the East

The leader of the season’s most pleasant surprise, the Detroit Pistons, Cade Cunningham, was named Player of the Month for October and November in the NBA Eastern Conference. With him at the helm, the famous franchise has a 16-4 record, is first in the conference standings, and he is scoring 28.8 points per game, along with 9.4 assists and 6.4 rebounds.

In early November, Cunningham scored a career-high, 46 points, in a game against Washington. He is 24 years old and has been in the NBA league since 2021, when the Pistons selected him as the first overall pick in the draft, after leaving Oklahoma State college as a point guard.
