OFFICIALS ENTERED THROUGH THE BASEMENT: Students from Čačak stood by Dijana Hrka, spent the night in front of the city hall! (VIDEO)

Students who walked to Novi Sad brought mattresses late last night in front of the Čačak City Administration building and informed the public that they would spend the night there, in support of Dijana Hrka. A Nova reporter reports that they are still there this morning and that citizens brought them breakfast. On the other hand, officials who came to work early in the morning entered the building through the basement, using side entrances.

The students who slept there were woken up around half past six by citizens passing by on their way to work, but they were not just passing by; they also brought them food and warm drinks. Everyone is awake now, but the police are also there, surrounding them, N1 reports.

One of the students says he had a very interesting night and reports that around five in the morning, someone started to tuck him in, and when he looked up, he saw that it was a girl with a rose.

“Older people pass by and frown, I don’t know if they think we are Ćacii because we are sleeping here,” he says.

He also states that it was not cold last night, and that he will only go home to brush his teeth, and then continue…

The students state that citizens brought them energy drinks last night, and that they have been bringing food since the morning.

Among the students is a native of Niš, who came to Čačak during earlier walks, liked it very much, and decided to continue his studies in that city.

He is also among the students who walked to Novi Sad and returned last night. The students then spontaneously decided to camp in front of the city administration in support of Dijana Hrka, the mother of the young man who died under the canopy, and who has been on a hunger strike across from “Ćaciland” since yesterday.

Among the students who slept there is also one Greek, who states that taxi drivers brought them back from Novi Sad from a peaceful protest where not even a whistle was heard and where the atmosphere was calm.

The students confirm that city officials entered through the basements, using side entrances this morning, but that around 6:45 AM they also started entering through the main door.

“It’s as if we don’t exist; generally, everyone turns their head,” says one of the students.

They also state that they will most likely remain in front of the City Hall as long as Dijana Hrka is on a hunger strike.
