The Serbian-American community has always represented one of the pillars of the relationship between Serbia and the United States of America. On this occasion, in recognition of his decades-long work and contribution in the field of energy, public utility systems, and infrastructure, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, awarded Branko Terzić with the Order of the Karađorđe Star. The decoration was solemnly presented to him on behalf of the president by the Serbian ambassador to the USA, Dragan Šutanovac.
Branko Terzić is an internationally recognized regulator, consultant, and expert, with more than four decades of experience in the electric power sector, gas and oil industries, hydropower, and water supply. During his rich career, he served as a commissioner of the Public Service Commission of the state of Wisconsin and the federal Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in the USA.
He was also the president, director, and chief executive officer of a holding company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, as well as a regional partner of a renowned international consulting firm in Central and Eastern Europe. On the international stage, he led the Committee of Experts on Clean Energy at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
The decoration of Branko Terzić once again confirms the importance of the contribution of the Serbian-American community to strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.
