Sudan has decided to recognize the independence of “Kosovo,” announced the President of the provisional Pristina institutions, Vjosa Osmani, following a meeting with the Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs on the sidelines of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya.
She published a video on the social network X with Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Yousif al-Sharif. In the post, Osmani stated that she received information from Minister Yousif that the President of Sudan has decided to recognize the so-called Kosovo and that the two countries will establish diplomatic relations.
“It was a pleasure and an honor to meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan. In our first meeting, he informed me that the President of Sudan has recognized the Republic of Kosovo and that we will establish diplomatic relations between our two countries,” Osmani wrote, adding that this is “the beginning of a wonderful partnership.”

According to Koha, Sudanese Minister Yousif said he looks forward to deepening interstate relations. He and Osmani also thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the host of the event.
“I am very honored that, on behalf of the peace-loving people of Sudan, we recognize your country as a member of the international community. We hope this will be the beginning of cooperation that is very much needed in Sudan, because you are, in fact, a small country, but you have a lot of experience,” said the Sudanese minister to Osmani, according to Sputnik.
