Students Demand Accountability for Novi Sad Tragedy

The protest was initiated by students who, several weeks ago, began blockading faculties in protest of the tragic incident in Novi Sad.

A canopy collapsed at the Novi Sad railway station, resulting in the death of 15 people.

Students are demanding accountability from those responsible for this event. In addition, students have issued strong demands for the punishment of hooligans who attacked citizens paying tribute to the victims in Novi Sad, which has caused further tension and outrage among students and their supporters.

Farmers Also Take to the Streets

In addition to students, farmers are also present at the protest, opposing the current agricultural policy and demanding better working and living conditions in rural areas.

Farmers have called on the authorities to take concrete steps to address problems in agriculture, including poor production conditions, low purchase prices, and excessive taxes. Demonstrators do not hide their determination to fight for what they consider their rights. The protest organizers have announced that they will continue their activities until concrete progress is made in addressing their demands.

“We will not stop until we achieve justice, both for the victims of the tragedy in Novi Sad and for farmers and students who are fighting for a better future,” the organizers said.
