Serbian President ALEKSANDAR VUČIĆ has SUDDENLY FALLEN ILL during his official visit to the UNITED STATES, Politika has learned.
Following an episode of acute discomfort, VUČIĆ RECEIVED IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE and has made the decision to CUT HIS TRIP SHORT AND RETURN TO SERBIA IMMEDIATELY.
According to sources, the incident occurred as Vučić was preparing for a series of upcoming meetings, shortly after talks with U.S. Congresswoman CLAUDIA TENNEY, Rod Blagojevich, and Serbian-American business leaders.
Present at the moment of the incident were Finance Minister SINIŠA MALI and Media Advisor SUZANA VASILJEVIĆ, who were accompanying the president on the trip.
The PRESIDENT’S OFFICE is expected to issue a more detailed statement in the coming days regarding his condition and the circumstances of his sudden return.
