Police in Spain have arrested two Serbian nationals on suspicion of kidnapping a wealthy businessman in Madrid on Monday evening.
The two Serbs are suspected of forcing a 33-year-old Canadian businessman into a van in front of a well-known restaurant in Madrid.
It is believed that the suspects intended to steal cryptocurrency from the businessman!
Witnesses saw unknown men pushing the businessman into a van, after which they called the police. The van was soon located, and the two suspects were detained, while a third kidnapper is still being sought.
According to sources, the victim managed to escape from the vehicle and stopped a taxi that took him to the hospital.

The suspects allegedly tried to remove a luxury watch worth 100,000 euros from the businessman’s wrist, but their ultimate goal was to gain access to his cryptocurrency keys.
The arrested individuals had traveled from Barcelona to Madrid, which led investigators to believe that they had previously been following the victim and likely knew that he was traveling to Madrid for a cryptocurrency transaction.
