The well-known Turkish journalist Ibrahim Haskologlu, who has more than 1.2 million followers on the X network, reacted to the announcement by Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić regarding the abolition of the visa-free regime for Turkish citizens.

Spajić wrote on his account on the mentioned social network:

“Tomorrow, by emergency procedure, we will make a decision on the temporary abolition of the visa-free regime for citizens of Turkey. In order to preserve economic activity and good bilateral relations, in the coming period we will initiate intensive discussions with the Republic of Turkey so that, in the spirit of good cooperation and alliance, we can find the best model in mutual interest,” he stated.

Haskologlu responded precisely to this post.

“You cannot make the whole of Turkey pay for this. The problem lies in your politics. You accepted everyone involved in illegal money laundering, fraud, and fleeing Turkey into your country, and you never organized their extradition,” he began.

“These people started taking over your country, while you directed the revenue from their dirty money back into your economy. In short, you caused this situation yourselves, and now you are trying to shift the burden onto the whole of Turkey to calm the anger of your citizens — but the real problem is your politics.”

Haskologlu clearly conveyed in this way that, in his opinion, the responsibility for the tensions in Montenegro lies in the government’s foreign and immigration policy.
