A tragedy occurred early this morning at a construction site in Vračar, Belgrade, when a worker fell from a height of 10 meters and died on the spot, “Telegraf.rs” reports.

Police and emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, and the duty prosecutor was also notified.

An investigation is underway to determine whether all safety measures were observed at the workplace.

The construction site is currently closed, and access is restricted pending the completion of the investigation.

In Serbia, safety and health at construction sites are regulated by a series of laws and bylaws that prescribe the obligations of all participants in construction projects.
