Nikola Jokić played another historic game, just in time to restore confidence to his Denver, who this season often loses derby matches and difficult away games, which has led to comments that the Nuggets have become “killers of the weak”, but that they lack toughness against favorites and potential opponents in the playoffs.

Thus, this year’s stable Indiana (125-116), one of the better hosts in the NBA and a team that shares 4th place in the East, fell. Jokić scored a “Sombor triple-double” for the second time in just a few days, had a career-high 19 assists, along with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Denver made 8 of 21 three-pointers, while the Pacers were 14 of 43 from distance.

Denver used a balanced attack to bounce back after the Los Angeles Lakers snapped the Nuggets’ nine-game winning streak on Saturday.

Indiana snapped a three-game winning streak. The Pacers shot 47%, but struggled to stop Denver’s inside game and of course – Jokić. Indiana’s biggest lead was two points, in the first quarter.

After the Pacers cut the deficit to 115-108, Gordon hit from deep, and then Christian Braun scored after a Jokić layup.

The Nuggets are in Milwaukee on Thursday. The Pacers visit Toronto on Wednesday.
