As one of the injured told doctors, the steering wheel blocked at the moment when he wanted to return to the right lane. The reason for the steering wheel blockage is the so-called “lane control assistance.” The left turn signal was on and automatically this did not allow the driver to fully return the van to the right lane.
As that did not happen, this assistance began to return the van to the left lane, then another truck from the opposite direction approached and the fatal collision occurred.
