Serbia was shaken by a great tragedy after 16 people were killed and over 30 injured in the collapse of a canopy at the railway station in Novi Sad. Saturday was declared a day of mourning in Serbia, and in Novi Sad it will last for three days.
Many athletes have spoken out on the occasion and expressed their condolences, and the greatest tennis player of all time, Novak Djokovic, has also spoken out.
Djokovic left an emotional message on social media dedicated to the victims of the tragedy and their families.

“My heart is with all those affected by the tragedy in Novi Sad. Our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the families of the victims,” wrote the Serbian tennis player with a praying emoji.
Djokovic is not currently playing, and it is almost certain that he has ended the season, although he is still in the race for the Finals.
