Branislav Jakšić brought gold to Serbia at the World Arm Wrestling Championship, in the Senior Grand Master category, left arm up to 100 kg, while with his right arm he took second place.
After 17 matches, Jakšić reached the final, where he defeated a representative from Kazakhstan and won the gold.
Radiša Milojković also had a notable performance, reaching the semifinals, but ultimately won fourth place with both his left and right arms.
The president of the Serbian Arm Wrestling Federation, Nenad Smiljković, points out that this is Serbia’s first gold medal in ten years since the country became a full member of the World Federation in this sport, which confirms that the federation is successfully doing its job.
At the end of the year, the Serbian national team is expected to have a match with the Czech Republic within the League of Nations, which will be held on November 29 in Trstenik, a city that is the seat of the Federation and the center of “arm wrestling” in Serbia.
