Milica Delević has been appointed as the Secretary General of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and will assume her new role on August 1, the EBRD announced.

She will succeed Kazuhiko Koguchi, who is set to retire from the EBRD later this year.

Delević will be responsible for promoting the EBRD’s mission among its member countries and international institutions, as well as overseeing the EBRD’s Annual Meeting.

Delević currently serves as the Director for Competitiveness, Governance and Political Affairs at the EBRD.

She has held senior positions at the EBRD for over ten years, having joined in 2013 as Deputy Secretary General for Shareholder Relations. In 2016, she moved to the Policy and Partnerships Department.

Before joining the EBRD, Delević had a long career in the Serbian Government, academia, and the civil sector.
