A Serbian citizen (21) was arrested on suspicion of attempting to carry out a telephone scam, and his victim was a German woman (91). Police arrested him in the German city of Pinneberg after he fell into a police ambush.
German police were called by the elderly resident, who reported a suspicious phone call she had received from a younger man, the local police announced.
At the address where she lives, officers organized surveillance and set a trap for the suspect, who arrived to collect the amount of 20,000 euros.

After questioning at the public prosecutor’s office, he was ordered into custody for up to 30 days and transferred to a correctional facility.
