In Grbavica near Brčko today, the 33rd anniversary of the massacre of 13 members of the Army of the Republic of Srpska from that area was marked with a memorial service and the laying of wreaths at a monument.
The commemoration was also attended by the Minister of Labor and Veterans’ and Disability Protection of the Republic of Srpska, Radan Ostojić, RTRS reports.
On March 8, 1993, 13 Serbian fighters from Grbavica were captured in Boderište near Brčko.
Despite an agreed prisoner exchange, the Serbs from Grbavica were massacred and then killed.
The massacre of members of the Army of the Republic of Srpska from this area was carried out by members of the so-called Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, RTRS recalls.
