The President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik stated that he and the Prime Minister of RS Radovan Višković today sent an invitation to the President of the Federation of BiH and his deputies and the Prime Minister of FBiH to come to Banja Luka whenever they want in order to try to find a solution to the newly created crisis in BiH.

“To come to Banja Luka to discuss the implementation of the Dayton Agreement and to jointly contribute to understanding mutual positions and to discuss solutions,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He pointed out that RS only agrees that its position in BiH be as defined by the original Dayton Agreement and the BiH Constitution, in which there was no state court and prosecutor’s office, High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (VSTS), state intelligence service, Armed Forces of BiH.

“We can negotiate about this with the Federation of BiH, and if they don’t want to, we will do it independently, we have enough resources to defend our decisions,” Dodik emphasized, stressing that RS has no pretensions against the Federation of BiH.

He further said that RS is not against the European path of BiH, but it is, as he said, against the abuse of that path.

“One of those abuses is the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, because those institutions do not exist in the Constitution of BiH,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He called the state court and prosecutor’s office “a legal contraption that only produced problems, which is why that issue now needs to be resolved.”

He stated that RS will no longer respect the decisions of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (VSTS) and that the RS parliament will form an entity VSTS.

“We will call Serbs from RS who are in VSTS BiH to transfer to VSTS RS. Those who want to stay there should move to Sarajevo,” Dodik said.

He added that the RS leadership started talks with many actors outside of BiH and that everyone they talked to considers the verdict of the Court of BiH against him to be “political persecution and a process of Republika Srpska personalized through the persecution of the President of RS.”

He thanked the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Porfirije for today’s visit to Banja Luka, emphasizing the importance of the SPC which, as he stated, understands and supports peace, talks and dialogue.
