PARENTS LOST THEIR SONS IN AN INSTANT: Brothers Petar (19) and Lazar (17) Killed in a Horrific Accident Near Ugrinovci!

Brothers Petar (19) and Lazar (17) Useinović were killed in a serious traffic accident on Friday afternoon on the highway between Ugrinovci and Batajnica.

Residents of the Zemun neighborhood of Ugrinovci say the parents are unable to get out of bed due to the pain and sadness, having lost their older sons in an instant.

The accident happened around 2 p.m. on Zemunska Street in Ugrinovci, where the family had moved from southern Serbia a few years ago. The investigation so far has determined that on that fateful day, the Useinović brothers got into an “Opel Corsa” car, failed to navigate a curve, and crashed head-on into a truck driven by Ljubiša J. (50). They died at the scene from their injuries.

“A great sadness has taken over that house, and the entire village as well. We can’t remember a tragedy like this happening here recently. The teenagers’ parents are in a very bad way, and they were at the scene of the accident. It couldn’t be worse,” said a local source, adding, “They are broken, and relatives, godparents, friends, and neighbors are constantly visiting. Everyone is trying to help them, but there is no consolation for this kind of grief…”

“They are trying to pull themselves together because they have three younger children, but they don’t have the strength. It has also hit the kids hard; they’ve lost their brothers and aren’t talking, just looking at each other sadly and silently,” the source said.

Yesterday, the mother of the deceased boys, Petar and Lazar Useinović, posted on social media.

“My two falcons are gone,” the inconsolable woman wrote, sharing three family photos with her children. A new post followed: “My two sons, never to be forgotten. I hope you are with the Lord.”

Below her sad words, friends and acquaintances offered their condolences.

“Dear children, rest in peace,” “We pray for your young souls,” “We love you and can’t get over the fact that you’re no longer with us,” “Condolences to the family, for youth to die like this” – these are just some of the comments that could be read under the posts.

The Third Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade is leading the investigation into the accident.
