In the municipality of Jablanica, rescuers are working at full capacity and continuing the search for victims of the catastrophic and horrific floods and landslides triggered by the enormous amount of rain that fell in a very short period. A team of rescuers – firefighters from Serbia – has arrived to assist them.
The Serbian Ministry of the Interior announced that “A specialized rescue team from the ruins of the Emergency Situations Sector of the Ministry of the Interior, consisting of 36 firefighters and 12 vehicles, has been sent to assist in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose central and southern parts have been hit by catastrophic flash floods and landslides.”

“After a coordination meeting with representatives of the competent authorities of BiH, the specialized rescue team from the ruins of the Emergency Situations Sector of the Ministry of the Interior began searching the area for missing persons at the location of the settlement of Donja Jablanica in the municipality of Jablanica,” the statement said.
Representatives of JVP “Srbijavode” with two machines are assisting our Specialized Rescue Team in clearing the terrain in search of missing persons.
