ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE BEGINNING OF THE NATO AGGRESSION: Students in blockade announce new major protest in Belgrade!

Students blockading faculties have announced a “Protest for the General Staff” for Monday, March 24th.

“Protest for the General Staff, March 24th. See you,” the students in blockade wrote briefly on their Instagram profile.

On Monday, March 24th, 26 years will be marked since the beginning of the NATO aggression on the then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

During the NATO bombings in April and May 1999, the General Staff building in Kneza Miloša Street was damaged, after which it was granted the status of cultural property.

The Government of Serbia revoked this status in November 2024, due to the announcement of the sale of that space to the company “Affinity Partners”, one of whose founders is Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, who, according to announcements, will build a “Trump” hotel there.
