Sloboden Pečat and the MIA agency, citing unofficial information from the Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia, have reported that at least 50 people have died.

Sloboden Pečat writes that the fire broke out in the nightclub “Puls” during a performance by the group DNK, with around 1,500 guests present, mostly young people, according to Podgorica’s Vijesti.

“Of the injured, about 60 patients have been transferred to a hospital in Štip, while 30 remain here,” said the director.

Macedonian media have also released footage of the fire breaking out.

North Macedonia’s Minister of Interior, Panče Toškovski, is currently in Kočani, while the country’s Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, is on his way to the scene of the tragedy.
