At the international STEMCO Olympiad, held from March 25 to 29, 2026, in Singapore, students of the Mathematical Grammar School achieved exceptional success, the Mathematical Grammar School announced.
Andrej Drobnjaković (4d) won a gold medal in physics and earned the title of absolute winner in the category of third and fourth-grade high school students.
Aleksandar Vukojević (3b) won a commendation in physics, worthily representing the school at this prestigious competition.
The Serbian team consisted of 16 students, who achieved the following results (students from other schools: Tamara Berkesel – gold medal in chemistry and absolute winner, Katarina Jakovljević – silver medal in chemistry, Petar Tolimir – silver medal in physics, Mara Stanišić – bronze medal in chemistry, Maša Stošić – bronze medal in physics, Marko Denda – bronze medal in physics, Relja Dragojlović – bronze medal in physics, Iskra Gnjidić – bronze medal in biology, Marko Birovljev – commendation in physics, Milica Milićević – commendation in physics, Lazar Alempić – commendation in physics, Stepan Zaharov – commendation in science, Vyacheslav Kostin – commendation in science, Milan Stanišić – commendation in science).
The team leaders were Ivana Milošević and Bojana Matić, teachers at the Mathematical Grammar School.
The Mathematical Grammar School thanked the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia for the donation that enabled Andrej Drobnjaković to compete in Singapore.
Gratitude was also expressed to the organization “Click for Serbia” for their support and covering the travel expenses of Aleksandar Vukojević.
