A father and his two sons from Aleksinac yesterday stole a motorcycle they found on the road after the injured rider was taken away by the ambulance. They then got into a fight with four people who noticed them. In addition to criminal charges for co-perpetrated theft filed against all three, the sons will also face charges for minor bodily harm because they attacked the individuals who suspected them of engaging in dishonest activity.
According to our information, a 35-year-old motorcyclist from the Aleksandrovac area fell off his motorcycle yesterday on the road between the villages of Mozgovo and Subotinac, sustaining severe bodily injuries.
“The motorcyclist was transferred to the General Hospital in Aleksinac where it was determined he suffered a fractured collarbone. The police were informed about the accident and went to the scene to conduct an investigation. However, upon arrival, they discovered that the ‘Suzuki’ motorcycle had disappeared. The police immediately began searching for the motorcycle, unaware of the tangled mess hidden behind this seemingly trivial traffic accident,” our sources familiar with the case stated.
As we learned, three men from Aleksinac in a “Ford” vehicle arrived shortly after the accident and, noticing the motorcycle on the roadway, decided to steal it.
“They put the motorcycle in the trunk and headed towards the village of Rutevac, but when turning for Bradarac, it fell out of the trunk onto the road. At that moment, four people approached and began to inquire about what was happening. The thieves first yelled at them and then decided to physically confront them. During this altercation, the witnesses to the theft sustained minor bodily injuries,” our source continued.
The police quickly unraveled the mystery of the missing motorcycle and located the thieves. In addition to criminal charges for co-perpetrated theft and minor bodily harm, a misdemeanor charge was filed against one of the sons involved in this escapade for driving without a driver’s license.
The motorcyclist also “earned” a misdemeanor charge for violating the Traffic Safety Law.
The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Aleksinac has been informed about this unusual theft and is further handling the case.
