Three Australians suspected of shooting Živan Radmanović in a villa in Bali will be charged with premeditated murder, a criminal offense punishable by the death penalty.
Živan Radmanović (32), who lived in Melbourne, was killed in the bathroom of a villa in Bali in June. His girlfriend Jazmin allegedly hid under a blanket during the attack while they were on vacation on the popular tourist island. His friend Sanar Ganim (34), also from Melbourne, was injured in the attack.
Police found 17 shell casings and two undamaged bullets at the scene, while witnesses told investigators that two armed men arrived at the villa on a scooter around midnight.
Three Australians — Paea I Midlmor Tupou (26), Mevlut Joshkun (23), and Darcy Francesco Jensen (27) — were later arrested in connection with the case and in July were forced to reenact the alleged shooting, a standard part of police investigations in Indonesia.

One of the suspects was arrested at the airport in Jakarta a few days after Radmanović’s death, while the other two, who had left Indonesia, were returned through coordination with Interpol in Southeast Asia, Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Aditjayaja told reporters.
Prosecutors in Bali announced on Wednesday that the three men are suspected of the premeditated murder of Živan Radmanović and the attempted murder of Sanar Ganim.
Among other charges, the three are accused of violating Article 340 of Indonesia’s Criminal Code, which carries a maximum sentence of the death penalty, followed by life imprisonment.
The prosecution did not specify when the trial will begin or what the motive for the murder was. Why Radmanović was brutally executed in a luxury villa remains a mystery.
Badung Police Chief M. Arief Batubara said investigators have completed the case files, which have been deemed legally sufficient to initiate proceedings.
