Karađorđe’s schnitzel has found a Lenten replacement, and the name given to it has become a viral hit on social media.
On the morning show of Prva TV, hosts touched on the topic of current festive tables, which have acquired a new star – Ribođorđeva schnitzel, the Lenten sister of the famous Karađorđe’s schnitzel.
Unsurprisingly, this somewhat awkwardly constructed name “Ribođorđeva” has sparked a wave of reactions on social media.

“If Karađorđe doesn’t rise now, he never will,” “Should be called Kararibova,” “Another victim of diversity,” “Karađorđeva is for women, Ribođorđeva is for men,” were some of the comments.
Some went even further, adding a mermaid tail to a photo of Karađorđe, providing a good laugh.

Although the hosts presented “Ribođorđeva” as a Lenten dish, a quick online search reveals that this dish has existed and been sold in Serbian fish markets for some time. It’s essentially a breaded catfish fillet stuffed with prosciutto and cheese.
