A group of cyclists from Serbia plans to start a humanitarian ride on June 20 called “Give a pedal to cancer from Serbia to Hilandar,” in order to help the work of the Women’s Center “Milica,” which provides support and advocates for women suffering from breast cancer and gynecological cancers.
The goal of the ride is to collect donations for the further work of the Center for the support of oncology patients fighting these severe diseases, the “Milica” association announced.
The mission was voluntarily organized by physical education teacher Nemanja Lukovic, civil engineer Aleksandar Radomirovic, and software engineer Jovan Jerotijevic, who will also be the main actors of the humanitarian bicycle ride from Kragujevac to the Hilandar monastery on Mount Athos.
The cyclists start their journey on June 20 from Kragujevac, and the first stop on their route will be Nis. Throughout the journey, transit stations have been organized where all citizens will be able to support the cyclists, join the campaign, and donate funds for humanitarian purposes.

They will then pass the Prohor Pcinjski monastery, Sveti Nikola, Lake Dojran, Stavros, and finally Ouranoupolis, the statement said.
After arriving at the destination, the cyclists will return from Mount Athos to Ouranoupolis on June 28, and then return to Serbia.
Over the past three years, more than 3,000 women and members of their families have received free support through the work of the Women’s Center “Milica.” In addition to expert advice and preparation for therapies, the association provides real hair wigs for use, as well as “My Assistant – A Guide Through Breast Cancer Treatment.”
The center invites all citizens, companies, and the media to support this campaign, support the cyclists on this journey, spread the word, and help raise funds that will provide more accessible support to sick women and their families.
