Firefighters-rescuers from Jagodina pulled a man from the Great Morava who fell out of a boat and began to drown, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

A situation that could have ended tragically, fortunately passed without major consequences because a quick assessment, decisive reaction, and teamwork on the ground were decisive. Firefighters reacted without hesitation and pulled the man out of the water at the last moment.

“Such interventions leave no room for error. Every second carries the weight of a decision, and every decision a consequence. That is precisely why, behind this action, stands not only courage, but also knowledge, experience, and readiness to act when it is most difficult.

Firefighters-rescuers do not choose the circumstances, nor do they wait for ideal conditions; they go into the field when it is most risky, guided by only one goal, so that someone’s life gets another chance,” the statement said.
