Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested a man on Sunday evening who, it is suspected, earlier the same evening in Bogatić, hit Milena J. (38), a mother with her child (3) with a car and fled the scene, N1 confirmed.
The traffic accident happened around 7 p.m.
The police later identified and arrested the driver.
The injured woman passed away, while her child, whom she was pushing in a stroller at the time of the accident, was transported to the hospital.
As Belgrade media learn, the boy’s life is not in danger, but he has severe physical injuries.
He was taken to the Emergency Center of the General Hospital in Šabac last night around 8:30 p.m. According to a source, when he was placed in the ambulance, he was unconscious, but in the meantime, he regained consciousness.
The little boy has chest injuries and scratches on his head, but his life is not in danger.
