Hamas has released a video showing two hostages being driven around Gaza, apparently to influence the Israeli public as the army intensifies its attacks on the city.
The video shows Guy Gilboa-Dalal in a car at several locations in Gaza, including the headquarters of the Red Crescent. The footage, likely made last week, shows damaged buildings as they drive through the city. CNN confirmed that the video is from Gaza.
At the end of the video, a second hostage, 22-year-old Alon Ohel, appears next to Gilboa-Dalal in the car. Ohel is of Serbian origin; his family comes from Novi Sad, and he was born in Israel.

Hostages Urge for End to War
In the video, the two men embrace and appear surprised to see each other. Gilboa-Dalal repeats several times: “I can’t believe I’m seeing you.”
This is a rare video of hostages being filmed in the open. Gilboa-Dalal states that the footage was made on August 28 and that he has been a Hamas hostage for 22 months. The video was released on the 700th day of the war, while protests for a ceasefire and the release of hostages were being held in Israel.
In the video, Gilboa-Dalal pleads with the Israeli government to bring him home and warns of a planned offensive:
“I heard that you are planning an attack on Gaza, and this idea gives me nightmares. It means we will die here.”
He states that there are eight other hostages in Gaza who “will die” if the attack continues. The Israeli army says it controls 40 percent of the city.
Gilboa-Dalal calls on Israelis to protest against the government and demand an end to the war so that the remaining hostages, 20 of whom are still considered alive, can be returned.
“We just want this to end. We want to get back to our families. We are scared; there are constant echoes here, explosions, and gunfire. Please, bring us home,” he says.
