If you ever, while living in Serbia and the Balkans, read the legendary book by Gradimir Stojkovic “Hajduk in Belgrade” for your school reading list, you will soon have an excellent opportunity to watch the film of the same name with your children in America, filmed exactly according to the mentioned book.

The film, which has since become the most-watched Serbian children’s/teen film of the decade, starts its American tour at the end of April, and on May 1 and 2, it will visit Chicago (Pickwick Theater), and all those interested can buy tickets at THIS LINK!

In addition to Chicago, the film will visit New York, Washington, Miami, Detroit, Indiana (Schererville), Milwaukee, San Diego, and Seattle.

Arriving in the USA with the film are special guests, the film’s director Milan Todorovic and lead actor Todor Jovanovic, who will answer questions from the audience (Q&A) after each screening.

The film “Hajduk in Belgrade” is a story about the adventures of Gligorije Pecikoza Hajduk, a boy who comes to Belgrade from a small village and there, in a new school, begins to spread his code of honor and values, encountering numerous novelties and problems along the way, but discovering that there is an incredible force that suddenly appears and changes everything: LOVE!

The film has versions with Serbian and English subtitles, so that children from the American diaspora who speak less Serbian will be able to understand it.
