Former New York City mayor and close friend of U.S. President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, stated in an interview with ATV from Republika Srpska that he had a detailed conversation with the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
“I know a lot about him. I have been to Serbia before, but never to Srpska. However, while I was in Serbia, I got a good impression of who he is. In many ways, we have a similar worldview. Also, for the past 25-29 years, I have believed that U.S. foreign policy should be somewhat redirected towards Eastern Europe because we have paid too much attention to the countries many of us come from. But we also have many people from Eastern Europe in America, and these are all nations that have gone through great hardships. I remember President Bush once told me—maybe he wouldn’t repeat it now—but I recall that right after becoming president, he came back from Europe and said: ‘God, these people wouldn’t fight even if their mother’s life depended on it,’” Giuliani said.
He believes that Europe, both East and West, has too many wars and “perhaps too much easy money.”
“I think Western Europe has largely abandoned religion. I see this in England, France, Germany. These were once very religious countries, and now they are among the most non-religious in the world. I think our vice president has made it clear—we want to be friends with every country, to help every country, but only if you are a nation that respects its citizens, does not suppress free speech, and does not terrorize its own people. In England, people are arrested because others don’t like their opinions, and one man was arrested because he had neo-Nazi materials at home. I think that’s terrible. I believe a neo-Nazi is a horrible person, but I wouldn’t imprison him for his beliefs. If I did that, I’d have to imprison half the world,” he said.
According to him, in America, freedom of speech is seen as an indicator of whether a state is good or not.
“We see that many European countries, perhaps due to the pressure of migration, are becoming something they never were before. I think Vice President Vance, when speaking in Munich, essentially said that we are not abandoning them—we are trying to wake them up. I call it an awakening—wake up and remember that you are part of Western civilization, not some foreign culture. Come on, if we can make you real allies again, we could stand up to China much more easily, because right now, America has to do it alone. That’s why we are looking at Srpska, looking at Serbia, Lithuania, Poland. These are just some of the countries that immediately come to mind. These are very strong potential alliances for us because we see the world in a similar way,” Giuliani said.
In his interview with ATV, Giuliani also stated that former U.S. ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Michael Murphy, was appointed by Joe Biden’s administration.
“Biden has fabricated so many false criminal charges in America that I am not surprised he would do the same abroad. He has created hundreds of fake cases. He treats the judicial system like the Nazis or communist dictators. He tried to put me in jail. Two cases were initiated against me by Biden and his Democrats. They want to imprison me for life. In one of those cases, I would end up in prison alongside President Trump. I suppose that if I have to go to prison, I would like to go with my old friend, President Trump,” Giuliani said.
He also commented on former U.S. President Joe Biden, his family, and his administration.
“Biden, his family, and the people around him make up the most corrupt administration in American history. I worked for Ronald Reagan. I was the mayor of New York when Bill Clinton was president. Clinton may have been a Democrat and may have had his personal issues, but I worked with him as if he were a Republican. Then he was replaced by George Bush—I worked with him too. I was Donald Trump’s lawyer. We never had anything like what we saw in Biden’s four years. We literally had a criminal mastermind in the White House.
