The latest Forbes list of the highest-paid tennis players in 2025 shows that a new generation is taking the lead both on and off the court, but Novak Đoković remains the only member of the Top 10 older than 29 years.

Carlos Alcaraz (22) kept the first place with 48.3 million dollars in earnings in the last 12 months, while his rival on the court Jannik Sinner (24) is breathing down his neck with 47.3 million.

In third place is Coco Gauff, the highest-paid female athlete in the world, with 37.2 million dollars, while fourth is Novak Đoković with 29.6 million, the only member of the Top 10 older than 29 years.

Novak Đoković (38) has the opportunity to win a record 25th Grand Slam trophy at the upcoming US Open, but the Serbian tennis player faces a challenge – a break from competition and injuries.

Đoković missed the Masters in Toronto due to a groin injury, and then Cincinnati. He played his last official match in July, when he was defeated by Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon semifinals.

He is currently seventh on the ATP list, and the last two seasons have brought him only one ATP title – in Geneva this May – along with a gold medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024. However, the US Open remains a court where he has already triumphed four times, the last time two years ago.

Off the court, Đoković continues to expand his brand through collaborations with companies such as Aman Resorts, Joe & The Juice, and Qatar Airways.

The Top 10 also includes Aryna Sabalenka (27.4M), Qinwen Zheng (26.1M), Iga Świątek (24M), Taylor Fritz (15.6M), Frances Tiafoe (15.2M), and Daniil Medvedev (14.3M).

In total, the 10 highest-paid tennis players earned 285 million dollars, and the average age of the mentioned players dropped to 26 years, which shows that the younger generation is taking the financial lead in the world of tennis.

While men and women share the top of the list, prize money below the Grand Slams is still not equalized, but organizers are slowly introducing changes, promising a fair distribution of money at mid-level tournaments by the end of the decade.
