President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić has called on citizens to attend the gathering of the Movement for the People and the State on April 12, where he will, as announced, present his demands “in accordance with the Constitution.”
In a video message on his Instagram account, Vučić, speaking on behalf of the Movement for the People and the State, invited people to a “great assembly of our people” from April 11 to 13 in Belgrade.
“The central rally is on the 12th at 7 p.m. I invite all political parties, all movements. I invite workers, farmers, homemakers, housewives. I invite our pensioners. Above all, I invite the youth of Serbia. I invite all people who want to preserve, protect, and defend Serbia,” Vučić said.
He announced that during the rally on the plateau in front of the National Assembly, a message would be jointly sent to everyone, and his demands will be presented.
“Demands that are in accordance with the Constitution, demands that are serious and represent the will of responsible people in our country, the will of the majority in Serbia,” Vučić stated.
However, the president did not specify to whom these demands would be addressed or who would be expected to fulfill them.
Vučić once again made strong accusations against the student blockades and citizens supporting them, stating that there is “no amount of power and money like those who are destroying Serbia have,” and that the country has gone through “unbelievable terror” in recent months.
