The deputy member of the polling station for the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) has been convicted for falsifying voting results in Mionica.
According to the verdict of the Basic Court in Mionica, Lepa Todosijević was found guilty and sentenced to six months (two years suspended) for falsifying election results, reports the organization CRTA.
“She committed the criminal offense in her capacity as deputy member of the polling station, delegated by the parliamentary group ‘Aleksandar Vučić – Zajedno možemo sve,’ at polling station number 20 in Mionica during the parliamentary elections in December 2023. This verdict sets a precedent in breaking the culture of impunity that has protected perpetrators of election-related crimes,” the organization stated.
The last local elections in Mionica, held in December of last year, were marked by numerous incidents and irregularities. On election day, CRTA observers were also attacked.
