Nikola Milutinov, Olympiacos center, has been selected for the EuroLeague ideal starting five for the 2025/2026 season.

Milutinov found himself among the top five players in the company of Elijah Bryant from Hapoel, then Sylvain Francisco from Zalgiris, Jean Montero, the rising star of the EuroLeague and Valencia basketball player, and teammate Sasha Vezenkov.

Milutinov received this recognition for the first time in his career, and became the first player from Serbia since the 2020/2021 season, when this honor was given to Vasilije Micic, then of Anadolu Efes, and Bayern’s Vladimir Lucic.

A year later, the same duo received recognition in the form of selection for the second-best starting five of the competition.

The record holder from Serbia is Milos Teodosic with as many as six selections – three times in the first, three times in the second starting five of the EuroLeague, Dejan Bodiroga has three selections for the ideal starting five, Vasilije Micic has three (once in the first, twice in the second), Nenad Krstic and Dejan Tomasevic have two (both in the ideal), while Vladimir Lucic and Igor Rakocevic also have two selections each (once in both), as does Milos Vujanic (twice part of the EuroLeague’s second-best starting five).

Bogdan Bogdanovic, Boban Marjanovic, Nemanja Bjelica, and Marko Jaric were also selected for the ideal starting five.
