EUROLEAGUE EXPANDED TO 20 TEAMS: Partizan and Red Star get a three-year license for elite competition!

The Euroleague has made its final decision – the competition is expanding by two more clubs. Next season, instead of 18, there will be as many as 20 clubs, and among them will be Partizan and Crvena Zvezda, who are preparing for a three-year license for the elite basketball competition.

The Euroleague management published an official statement emphasizing that the board confirmed the expansion for the upcoming season, with potential changes to members in the future.

Official confirmation from the leaders is still awaited, but it is reported that at the Euroleague meeting, Virtus, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Paris, and Valencia received the same contract as the “eternal rivals” (Partizan and Crvena Zvezda), while Monaco received a 10-year A license.

In the expanded Euroleague lineup, Dubai also secured a spot in the elite, so the 2025/26 season will feature: Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahçe, Anadolu Efes, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Baskonia, Valencia, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Partizan, Crvena Zvezda, Monaco, Asvel, Paris, Bayern, Olimpia Milano, Virtus, Žalgiris, and Dubai.

According to “Mozzart Sport,” Serbian Euroleague teams will have to pay 2,250,000 euros for a three-year license, or 750,000 per season.
