Ahead of the start of the new season, renowned American media outlet ESPN compiled a list of the 10 best players in the NBA league, and according to those who created it, the battle for first place this season was extremely close.

Just three voting points separated Nikola Jokić, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama, with each of these superstars receiving a first-place vote from at least one of the seven members of the panel.

The panel consisted of Ben Golliver, Vincent Goodwill, Zach Kram, Bobby Marks, Dave McMenamin, André Snellings and Matt Williams.

However, the voting criteria remained unchanged.

Wembanyama is second, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is third.

They are followed by: Luka Dončić, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jalen Brunson, Anthony Edwards, Cade Cunningham, Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell.
