Novak Đoković defeated Lorenzo Musetti in the round of 16 at the Miami Masters in straight sets – 6:2, 6:2. The greatest tennis player of all time will face Sebastian Korda in the quarterfinals, after Korda defeated Gaël Monfils in the match preceding the Serbian-Italian showdown.

The world’s No. 5 put on an impressive performance, leaving his opponent little room to maneuver. There were plenty of breaks, but the outcome never seemed in doubt after Novak’s argument with referee Fergus Murphy.

This marks Đoković’s first quarterfinal appearance in either Indian Wells or Miami since 2016. After nine years, he finally managed to defeat Lorenzo Musetti—fueled by a moment of frustration with the referee—which ignited his engine, awakened the beast, and made quick work of the Italian.
