The President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik said today that US Secretary of State Mark Rubio’s assessment that the actions of the President of the RS “undermine the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and threaten its security and stability” are not correct.
“He (Rubio) is wrong when he claims that.” He could be a deity, not the US Secretary of State. It would be nice to read what is happening here, and not just to take over the false narratives that were constituted in (former US President Joseph) Biden’s administration”, said Dodik for Radio-television of Republika Srpska (RTRS).
He pointed out that the RS cannot give up its demands, regardless of who is on the other side.
“We cannot give up our goals and our policies, no matter who is on the other side.” I ask everyone who wants to stick to the position here, to hear the other side as well. They cannot decide about us, they should decide with us,” said Dodik, RTRS reported.
Stating that when the US Secretary of State speaks, “it’s always serious”, he said that in Rubio’s statement he sees relapses of the Biden administration and that (US President Donald) Trump’s people “didn’t get into all the pores”.
“He had a series of mistakes. The Secretary of State does not have time, and I understand that, to go into specifics. The concern about the position of Bosnia and Herzegovina is something we heard from the Biden administration,” said Dodik.
He recalled Trump’s statements that “they will not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, that they give up the concept of building other countries and nations.”
“This may be part of the lobbying that we recognize in the legacies of the Biden administration.” When he (Rubio) says that he is worried about the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we are also worried, because it is threatened by anti-Dayton and anti-international law acts and that he did not notice that (High Representative Christian) Schmidt was not appointed to the United Nations (UN),” Dodik said.
He added that he still thinks that “Rubio is a friend of everyone in BiH and that he fell for the pro-Muslim lobbyists who made something like this happen.”
