During today’s blockade of the highway in Novi Pazar, an incident occurred in which a Peugeot vehicle attempted to bypass the blockade, hitting two students from the State University. One student sustained minor arm injuries, while others were unharmed, the students of the State University in Novi Pazar reported.
One of the injured students stated that he and his colleague were directing traffic when a vehicle in the queue attempted to overtake and then struck him.
“I barely, how should I say, saved myself. I jumped aside, and during the jump, I hit another car with my back, and my neck snapped. The driver also hit my arm with his side mirror,” the injured student said.
He added that the driver then hit his female colleague, but she managed to move out of the way just in time. According to the injured student, the driver had no intention of stopping.
“He drove straight at us and had no intention of stopping; he just sped through and left,” he emphasized.
He noted that at the moment of the incident, he did not feel any pain due to adrenaline, but the pain soon became severe.
“I started losing consciousness, my blood pressure was dropping,” he said.
“I have an arm injury from the impact, and I feel significant pain in my neck and lower back,” he added, stating that the event was terrifying.
“How could I not be scared? The man was coming straight at me to hit me,” he concluded.
Local media report that the incident has been reported to the police.
