At least seven civilians were injured when a South Korean fighter jet accidentally dropped bombs during a military exercise, the South Korean military announced.
“A KF-16 aircraft mistakenly dropped eight MK-82 bombs, which exploded outside the designated perimeter,” the statement said.
The incident occurred this morning around 10:00 AM local time in Pocheon, in northern South Korea, approximately 25 kilometers south of the demarcation line with North Korea.

According to the Yonhap news agency, South Korea is conducting military exercises with the United States in Pocheon today.
Yonhap reports that four people sustained serious injuries, three suffered minor injuries, and material damage was inflicted.
