Students participating in the blockade of the State University of Novi Pazar (DUNP) announced that they are preparing for a walking journey to Novi Sad, covering a distance of 340 kilometers. They stated on their Instagram account that they will begin on October 16 and walk for 16 days, in order to take part in the large commemorative gathering in Novi Sad on November 1.
As the students explained, this symbolic act represents an appeal to conscience, solidarity, and dignity.
Under the slogan “16 days for 16 victims, for a new world,” they stated that they are sending a message of unity and perseverance from young people who believe that peace, justice, and respect for life must not be forgotten.
“We are walking for all the victims of corruption, for citizens and students who have suffered repression and police brutality. We are walking for justice, dignity, and for building a better future — for the new world we want to live in,” said the students in blockade at DUNP.
Previously, students from Subotica also announced that on October 29 they will begin a three-day walk to Novi Sad to attend the commemorative gathering.
